Kanerko
Set to Release Their Sophomore Studio Album ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ Late Summer 2011 Produced, Mixed, Mastered by Peter Rutcho/ Damage Studios (Unearth, Seemless, Revocation) “BEST LOUD ACT 2011”- Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll Nominated for 2011 “BAND of the YEAR” “SONG of the YEAR” “LIVE ACT of the YEAR”- Limelight Magazine Good things come to those who wait. Following their acclaimed album ‘Showtime’, Providence R.I. natives Kanerko are back and harder than ever. Led by the powerful vocals of Al Diaz, guitarist Anthony Palumbo, bassist Kevin Marz, and the ever present Nick Iddon on drums, ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ will not disappoint even the toughest of critics. This tour de force was produced, mixed, and mastered by Peter Rutcho at Massachusetts based Damage Studios. Rutcho, a staple within the New England metal scene, has been quoted as saying “They are all terrific musicians and from a production stand point they are always open to new ideas and sounds. I’ve told them on more than one occasion they are one of my favorite bands to work with…” ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ delivers a profound look into the soul of this quartet. Kevin Marz’s daunting bass line gives way to a strong, inspired collision of true hard rock on the first single “Silent Struggle”; while setting the tone to the trials & tribulations Al Diaz’s father faced as a Colombian immigrant. “I wrote “Silent Struggle” as homage to my father. The man came to this country and worked his ass off with the little English he knew” says Al, “The silent struggle was the internal struggle he had with himself. The depression and failure he felt when he couldn’t get us the ideal life, but he never let that show. He always did the best to make our family happy” ‘The Uninvited Get to Stay’, possesses all the qualities Kanerko fans have come to expect. This brutal, 6 minute behemoth contains a skull pounding beat provided by Nick Iddon, giving way to Anthony Palumbo’s undeniable solo. A Providence Phoenix staff writer is quoted as saying about track 5 “A heavy-duty reminder why the band remains a favorite (fans of Mastodon and Kyuss take heed)” In surmounting anticipation of ‘Delusions of Grandeur’, Kanerko plan on hitting the road after the late summer release. Providence fans may look forward to the tour wrapping up with a possible Thanksgiving eve homecoming show, all dates and venues to be announced. The boys are very proud of their accomplishment and are all in agreement about Kanerko’s viciously brilliant 2nd EP. “I feel this EP is the greatest collection of songs I’ve ever been a part of, and I’m really proud of what we captured”- Anthony Palumbo “By far the most complicated and evolved stuff we’ve ever done. We reached deep during the writing process. This album is definitely dedicated to the outsiders, the outcasts. It’s a big fuck you to everyone palying the same regurgitated shit”- Kevin Marz ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ Tracks: Silent Struggle Tears on the Glass Cheer Up (We’re All Gonna Die) Sleep The Uninvited Get To Stay Whipping Post* Sueno** *Allman Brothers Cover ** “Sleep” Spanish Version To learn more and hear Kanerko please visit the following links: "Five Across the Face" Video www.kanerko.com To request a copy of ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ and booking please contact: Nate Franklin // Revitalize the Scene- Artist Development, Management & Promotions nate@revitalizethescene.com Sponsors: www.silverfoxpercussion.com Kanerko wins Best Loud Act 2011
